New in 2024! Butler College Netball Academy - a Netball WA Tier 1 Endorsed Specialist Program.
We’re excited to announce that our Netball Academy is a Netball WA Tier 1 Endorsed Specialist Program - one of only nine schools in the State with this endorsement. This is a fantastic milestone for our Netball Academy after meeting the rigorous requirements set by Netball WA to achieve this status.

Sports Academies: Netball and Soccer

Our Academy Programs offer students in Years 7-10 the opportunity to develop and excel in netball and soccer.

Operating as a whole-year elective with four lessons per week, the Netball Academy builds passion in students through the development of skills, fitness, strategies, coaching and officiating, as well as a range of sports science topics including nutrition, injury prevention, first aid and sports psychology; allowing them to become the best athletes they can be both on and off the court.

The Soccer Academy progresses students’ development of their skill base, knowledge and understanding within the ‘World Game’. The Program nurtures purpose, goals, defined roles and responsibilities, open and clear communication, and active and balanced participation in an encouraging, trusting environment. Regular monitoring of performance, high organisation, acceptance of decisions, effective decision making and constructive conflict are the characteristics of effective Butler College Soccer teams that have been so successful.

Our Netball coaching staff are highly skilled and experienced with Netball Australia Coaching Accreditations and are involved in a range of Club, Association, and WANL teams in the Netball WA pathway. Our Soccer coaching staff are highly skilled and experienced, holding both FFA and UEFA coaching accreditations whilst also active members of the WA NPL and State League in both a playing and coaching capacity.
